ANTHONY Battersby made club history in the Horwich Jubilee 4 Mile by being the first Astley & Tyldesley Road Runner to beat Shaun Moran.
Anthony, 25, has only been running for the club for two months and coach Moran said afterwards: "It's great to see the improvement Anthony has made since he joined us and I believehe can become a major threat in races of all distances. He certainly keeps me on my toes."
The club was represented by 11 runners with Brian Lucas and Daniel Lomas making their debuts.
