CONGRATULATIONS Mr Derek Brindle on saving one of Darwen's many wonderful buildings - the old Technical College - and in securing something concrete (not literally) for future historians.
Hopefully, many more properties in and around the town will be put to good use and not just razed to the ground.
I think it is very exciting when people can see the potential of a small town, albeit part of Blackburn, and are prepared to invest in it.
The folk of Darwen should be proud of Mr Brindle in leading such a campaign and seeing it through with such brilliant results. Well done.
