I AGREE with the editor's comments in the LET (June 18). The actions of the six Labour councillors so soon after election are disgusting.

It would appear that they are more concerned with their own ambitions and self-aggrandisement than the welfare of the people they were elected to service, the key-words being 'to serve.'

How can their supporters now be expected to trust someone who betrayed that trust? If the problems lie within the party then shouldn't they stay within that party and work out the problems rather than skulking off and being defeatist?

Had any of the six councillors represented my ward I would be writing a very stiff letter personally to him.
