THE gang of six were elected as Labour councillors not as Independent councillors. By resigning about a week after election makes a mockery of the local elections and our democratic process. It is outrageous.
If they are honourable people (and now reject all the policies of the Labour group) they should all resign immediately so that the elections can be held again.
Let the people then decide whether they want Labour councillors or a group of individuals with their own separate agendas.
