A SCHOOL will close for the day on Monday to allow staff to attend the funeral of a teacher.
David Kerslake (44) of Hackney Close, Radcliffe, died on June 14 when he was in collision with a car on Crompton Way in Bolton.
The head of science at Sharples School, Bolton, was cycling home when the accident hap- pened. He is survived by his wife, Jacquie, and their daughter, Lydia Niamh (3).
Pupils from Mr Kerslake's Year 11 form group have also been invited to the funeral at noon at Blackley Crem- atorium.
His family have requested donations to Amnesty International instead of flowers.
