STUDIES took on a sombre note when a school held an Anne Frank Day.
Each department at Parrenthorn High in Prestwich prepared a 30-minute lesson based on moral courage and the contribution of the world's diverse cultures.
Classes for Years 7, 8 and 9 covered the story of the Dutch girl Anne Frank and the Holocaust, civil rights, scientists such as Dr Robert Oppenheimer and modern day refugees and asylum.
