BURY lovebirds Darren Foster and Sam Lilley are ecstatic after learning live on GMTV on Friday morning that they will be tying the knot in Cyprus -- the island of love.
Shrieks of joy echoed across the studio as the elated couple opened the envelope live on the ITV show just after 8.30am after viewers voted for island venue over Venice. and Las Vagas.
Bolton barber Darren, aged 31, and his fiance of three years Sam, aged 23, will jet off to Paphos next week to see St George's Chapel, where they will marry live on GMTV on September 3, for the first time.
The wedding will have a traditional Cypriot theme, they will arrive by horse and cart and the best man will be spared the usual speech, instead he will have to learn to balance glasses on his head.
Darren, of Radcliffe, who works at his dad's shop in Manchester Road, said: "We would have been happy with any of the locations because they were all fantastic, but with Cyprus there is more chance of being able to get more of our family and friends out there."
Next week the nation will see footage of the pair in Cyprus, before voting resumes the following week, when the public will be choosing Sam's dress.
