STAFF and regulars at Sydney Street WMC, Accrington, will be celebrating tonight when they are presented with the Club of the Year Award 2004 from East Lancs CAMRA.

It is the third time the club has won the accolade, awarded solely for the quality and selection of cask beers. The club has John Smith's Cask, Old Speckled Hen and two guest ales which change on a weekly basis.

Club secretary Brian McGowan said: "The ales we put on have always created a lot of interest and we have had people come from all over the country to sample them after seeing us in the Camra pub guide.

"We always get comments on how good the beer is and have never had any complaints yet." Presentation of the award is taking place at the club tonight at around 8.30pm.
