YOUNGSTERS and artists have teamed up to launch a Rossendale art project.
The initiative, run by the Rural Opportunities Across Rossendale (ROAR) scheme and organised by charitable group Community Futures, will see young people in Water work with artists to create images of the village.
It is being co-ordinated by Gillian Smith, community development officer for Community Futures, and will also run in Edenfield, Helmshore, Grane, Rising Bridge, Loveclough, Weir, Britannia, Whitworth and Cowpe.
Funding was secured by Youth4ria, Rossendale's Youth Council, from the Countryside Agency.
The finished artwork will be used in a calendar to promote each area involved in the project.
