PEOPLE living in Rossendale are being asked to give their opinions on the service Rossendale Borough Council gives to residents.

The Customer Services Review is part of thye council's corporate improvement plan and is designed to help create a customer strategy for improvement.

The Best Value Review which will be completed by the end of the year aims to help improve services and to ensure at least 80 per cent of the borough's residents are satisfied with the services they receive by 2008.

Focus Groups are being held in August and September with customers, partners, councillors and staff to help make improvements to services.

Coun Jeff Cheetham, who is involved in the review, said: "This is a really good opportunity for people to have a say on how the council deals with its customers. "Rossendale Borough Council has made major improvements over the past months but still has a long way, and as part of this process, the views of local people are vital."
