IN 1997 Tony Blair promised to safeguard key NHS services, things such as the special care baby unit at Fairfield hospital. But seven years later and the unit is threatened with closure.
That promise was another lie. The people of Bury have just elected a Labour council in good faith and this is how we are repaid. Labour has let down Bury.
