A BLACKBURN man accused of plotting a 'dirty bomb' attack in Britain will not face trial until next September.

Junade Feroze, 28, of Malham Gardens, is one of eight men accused of conspiracy to murder and commit public nuisance with radioactive materials, toxic gasses, chemicals or explosives.

They spoke only to answer to their names at an administrative hearing at the Old Bailey.

The hearing was conducted by video link from London's Belmarsh Prison and Wood Hill near Milton Keynes.

Feroze, Dhiren Barot, 32, of Willesden, London; Omar Abdul Rehmna, 20 of Bushey, Herts; Zia Ul Haq, 25, of Paddington, west London; Abdul Aziz Jalil, 31, of Luton, Bedfordshire; Nadeem Tarmohammed, 26, of Willesden; Mohammed Naveed Bhatti, 24, of Harrow, Middlesex; Quaisar Shaffi, 25, of Willesden; are all charged with conspiring to murder 'other persons' between January 2000 and August 4 this year.

The plea and directions hearing was set for May 2 next year.

This means their trial will not take place before Autumn 2005.

All eight were remanded in custody.
