ON August 31 you carried an article about regional assemblies and the North West Regional Assembly.
Their spokesman, one Mr Dave Quayle (chairman), demands that we have a new date for a referendum on the subject.
Could someone please inform us 'lesser mortals' just who elected Mr Quayle and his assembly. And, where does their funding come from?
These (the NWRA and the North West Development Agency) are the anonymous people who wish to take control of what was once called Lancashire. Do we need them?
