WE need help this autumn and winter.

National disability charity, Winged Fellowship Trust, would like to invite your readers to consider offering a week of their time to help people with physical disabilities have a holiday, and give their carers a break.

Winged Fellowship Trust has five purpose-built centres in Southport, Cornwall, Essex, Nottingham and Southampton.

Volunteers help our trained staff by providing our guests with individual support and companionship during their stay with us.

Their role is absolutely vital in enabling our guests to have greater independence and choice, as well as the opportunity to enjoy to the full the wide range of trips and entertainment that we offer.

Our centres are open all year round, but we especially need people to help this autumn and winter.

We would like to hear from people over 18-years-old, but there is no upper age limit. We ask that people are reasonably fit and active.

No previous experience is necessary, as full training will be given beforehand. Enthusiasm and a friendly personality is all that is needed for our volunteers to have a successful and worthwhile week.

We are especially seeking more mature people who are perhaps not currently working, or who have retired and wish to use their skills and experience in a different way.

All food, accommodation, insurance, (reasonable) travel costs and training is paid for, so it's absolutely free and 98 per cent of volunteers say that they find the experience rewarding and useful.

Your readers would have a chance to really make a difference in a warm friendly and supportive atmosphere.
