A BLACKBURN council worker who broke her leg during a parachute accident is still recovering in a Nottingham hospital.
Sarah McEwan, an experienced skydiver, was part of a UK record breaking attempt on Friday when she had a crash landing. The British Parachute Association, who are investigating the incident, said her back-up chute opened too low.
The 35-year-old from Chorley is at Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham where doctors described her as "doing well."
The 60-strong Brit Chick team went on to successfully complete the jump on Saturday, breaking the current record of 50 women.
