MY late husband's grandparents lost five out of six sons in the 1914-18 conflict serving in the East Lancs Regiment. It is not good enough to brush it away as of no consequence.

The regiment has meant a great deal to this part of Lancashire for close on 100 years.

The best of luck with your campaign although indeed it should not depend on luck when there is such a strong case to retain the regiment.
