A SHUTTLEWORTH chef is enjoying "success on a plate" after earning yet another culinary honour.
For Daniel Kirkpatrick, 21, of the Eagle and Child, came a worthy second in the North West Young Chef of the Year competition held at Nelson and Colne College.
Daniel fought off 800 competitors to gain the silver medal, which will be added to his mounting collection that already includes the De Vere Hotels young chef of the year and a number of Lancashire cooking accolades.
He said: "It's great to win another award. Not only is it personal recognition, but it also speaks volumes for the pub as well. Trade has really taken off of late and perhaps that has something to do with the fact customers know they will be served award-winning food."
