REGARDING the QLR, my late husband Corporal Walter Wilkinson joined in 1939 at Fulwood Barracks. He was at Dunkirk and lost four toes from frostbite. He then went into the Pioneer Corps where he served until 1945. He died in 1977. We have lots of memories so we must keep this going.
