WESTLEIGH High School pupils' good attendance record earned them two DVD players donated by Asda.

Attendance champions Amy Hawkins and Caroline Barker received their rewards from Asda's Sheila Unsworth and Ann Ash.

Impressed head teacher John Banks said: "The attendance figures for Westleigh High School for the year 2003/4 are the best figures for many years and the school continues to improve in all aspects. The Attendance Premier (co-ordinated in school by attendance manager, Debra Bromiley) being one of a number of proactive strategies employed to ensure that the school maintains the status it has worked hard to achieve."
