A RESIDENT of Manchester Road at Astley says locals there feel they are being ignored.
He claims that between Blackmoor, the Straits and Cross Hillock, every day is like a wild west show with excessive speeding, scramblers doing wheelies, a death trap zebra crossing, a heavy vehicle and litter problem.
He asks why families are paying council tax when nothing is being done to alleviate the troubles.
It's a sad fact that life living on what used to be a "quiet" main road is not what it used to be and I can sympathise -- because I live on one and have suffered increasingly similar problems over the past two decades.
We have two choices when complaints are not acted upon -- put up with it or move. I'm staying put -- until I win the lottery!
