I AM writing about the horrors that occurred involving the children and staff of Beslan School in Russia.

I'm sure, like mysel,f the majority of people will be stunned into disbelief at man's dreadful inhumanity to man, manifesting itself once again.

God, Allah, must be weeping in His Heaven for us all. Didn't he say "Better that you put a millstone around your neck and cast yourself into the deepest sea than hurt a child," a message for each and every one of us, whatever belief, politics or culture, we represent.

Surely some solution can be peacefully achieved concerning Chechnya. We all must share some guilt for this tragedy as human beings.

After all the struggle the Chechnya people have suffered it appears over many years, through an 'iron fist' policy, which most super powers -- countries tend to adopt to get their way -- wouldn't it be fairer, through hopefully the United Nations, for Chechnya's Islamic state, to be recognised and able to contribute to an economic stable Russian continent?

It seems to me that the present situation breeds terrorism and gives their cruel actions an excuse.

I think Jack Straw, our elected Blackburn MP and Foreign Secretary, should take up consultation with leader Putin, along with the United Nations, regarding Chechnya's independence.
