LIARS are being invited to come clean about mobile thefts in a ground-breaking amnesty.
Under new laws, police can issue anyone who makes a false crime report with £80 fines. But Bury police are inviting bogus victims of mobile phone thefts to come forward and clear their consciences or face the penalty. The amnesty is part of a Greater Manchester Police campaign.
