FILMING for a special video takes place today (Fri Sept 10) at the home of Metrolink campaigner Maria Fuller.

Mrs Fuller has been asked by Metrolink to feature in a video to campaign against the government decision not to expand or invest in the system.

Mrs Fuller has long campaigned for transport bosses to upgrade the 40-year-old track which runs alongside her home in Cedar Grove, Prestwich.

She claims the noise from the trams has had a detrimental effect on her health and Gary and Nicky Stott, in neighbouring Willow Road, recently won the award of Britain's Noisiest House.

Mrs Fuller said she would be asked by the film-makers how Metrolink affects her, how she felt when she heard about Alistair Darling's decision not to approve the expansion and how the decision will affect her family and neighbours.

Mrs Fuller, who states she is not anti-Metrolink but wants investment in the system to improve conditions, is also planning to join a mass rally in Manchester on September 16, to show her support of the campaign to get Metrolink back on track.
