SIR David Trippier, chairman of the North West Says No campaign, was the guest speaker at the latest Bury Industrial Society dinner.
The former Rossendale MP and ex-boss of Marketing Manchester devoted much of his address to the Government's decision to defer a referendum on an elected North West Regional Assembly.
Sir David, a Bury Grammar "old boy" has welcomed the decision not to go ahead with the referendum originally scheduled for November.
