TONY Barlow, chairman of Bury South Conservatives claims that their newly-selected General Election candidate is ideal because of his political experience (Guide, September 3).
Trafford Council's website shows he was elected only last year so his Altrincham constituents will be delighted to hear that he has promised to resign from the council if successful at the General Election.
His political experience is clearly only matched by his long-term commitment and loyalty.
