HINDSFORD FC had a convincing 5-1 away win at Swinton Town.

Hindsford started well and played some excellent football on a difficult pitch, taking an early lead when Paul Cunliffe sent Neil Critchley clear on the right and his cross was finished by Matt Toone. They quickly got a second when good play from Dave Fashou and Mark Morris set up Ryan Willett to volley home.

Mark Morris picked up a defensive error to set up Fashou for a third and then score the fourth himself following a clearance from Barry Edge.

The second half followed the same pattern with Hindsford well on top and creating numerous chances before Ryan Willett sent Matt Toone through for his second. Hindsford conceded an own goal late in the game but ran out deserving winners.

The reserves had another comfortable win 5-0 at home to Whitworth Valley to keep their 100% record and stay league leaders. Jonny Morris got two of the goals.

On Saturday the first team are away at Tempest United in the first round of the Lancashire Amateur Shield.3pm kick off.The reserves have no game.
