RETIRED pharmacist Harry White agrees with me about the growing number of unnecessary signs appearing on our roads.
He says a new one, like the one I mentioned previously, regarding parking being under the jurisdication of Wigan Metro, has appeared on the Bolton Road-Newbrook Road boundary in Atherton. I just can't see the point.
But he says the corker of all signs appears every spring in the bank of daffodils at the junction of Lovers Lane-Atherleigh Way "Green spaces for your enjoyment". I've seen it and I too have thought how blooming silly.
The next one will probably be outside lavatories "public toilets for your convenience".
