A MAN has died after plunging from the Metrolink bridge at Besses in Whitefield onto the carriageway of the M60.
The 35-year-old local man, who has not yet been formally identified, was pronounced dead at the scene after the fall at 5.10pm on Saturday.
Police had received reports that he was seen to fall from the bridge over the M60, near Junction 17.
At this stage, there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
