I HAVE read quite a lot of articles about hospital superbug MRSA and in one article it stated maybe the superbug could be passed via towels.

Has the risk been assessed concerning hospital uniforms?

When I started nursing 34 years ago we were not allowed home or anywhere other than the hospital in our uniforms. We were provided with showers and lockers and our uniforms went to a specialist laundry.

Now you see nurses and their uniforms in shops, cafes, everywhere.

Are staff monitored as to how often and what temperatures they are washing their uniforms at?
