BURY Parish Church Mothers' Union held their monthly meeting on March 1. Jennifer White was the speaker and her subject was "Action and Outreach".
As an MU member for the diocese, Jennifer is involved with co-ordinating help for those in need, both at home and abroad. Money raised can bring relief to widows and orphans in Kenya; education to women in Burundie who need stand-pipes for their crops, and in Britain, caravan holidays for poor families.
Edith Hayhurst thanked Jennifer for the talk and the useful work she is doing.
