A powerful theatre play set against the backdrop of Camp X-Ray in Guantanamo Bay begins touring this month.

In God We Trust by Oldham based Peshkar Productions explores the relationship between two young Muslim men who find sanctuary in faith in order to survive amidst a violent and degrading environment.

The play is written by Avaes Mohammad A Manchester based artist. He said, Detention without proper trial can only be implemented by a people fixed in the falsehood of their own superiority over the culture of another.

"I've also tried to explore the Muslim worlds own responsibility for this humiliation suffered today"

It is directed by Sazzadur Rahman.
