ENTERTAINER Bobby Ball left his double act behind for one night only to talk about his life experiences as a Christian at Radcliffe Civic Suite.

Bobby, one half of the comic duo Cannon and Ball, appeared at the Thomas Street hall on Friday following an invitation from Bethesda Pentecostal Church and Bury Christian Fellowship to share his life story and the reasons behind his decision to become a Christian in 1986.

More than 350 people packed into the hall to listen as Bobby shared jokes and stories about his experiences of fame and fortune which left him disatisfied until he turned to religion.

SInce becoming a Christian 19 years ago, Bobby splits his time performing with Tommy Cannon and telling others about the difference Christianity has made to his life.Rod Fairbrother, the churches spokesman, said: "It went really well; the place was full and it lasted for around two hours as Bobby signed autographs, videos and CDs. The audience had a great time."
