LEIGH CENTURIONS 6, BRADFORD BULLS 46: A second-half shocker by Leigh Centurions keeps them rooted at the foot of the Engage Super League.

Leigh only trailed 10-0 at half time but once the Bulls turned on the power after the break they were condemned to their heaviest defeat so far.

Leigh would have felt hard done by that they trailed 10-0 at the break after having the Bulls under pressure for the majority of the time.

But Leigh could not turn their territorial advantage into points and paid the price in the second half when the Bulls ripped Leigh apart.

Despite Leigh's heavy defeat coach Darren Abram remains upbeat.

"We had them in trouble in the first half but at this level you don't get a second chance. It's all about concentration levels. We are getting there but not quickly enough for my liking."

Leigh's fifth successive defeat brought added worries for Abram with play-maker Jason Ferris suffering a suspected broken jaw and second rower Oli Wilkes carried off with concussion.

Leigh were always chasing the game from the 11th minute when Iyestn Harris slipped Ferris's tackle and went in for the first of eight Bulls tries. Paul Deacon converted.

For the remainder of the half Leigh hammered away at the Bradford line but came up empty. Just before the break Harris slipped a ball away in a two man tackle and Leon Pryce got brother Karl in for a 10-0 lead. Injuries to Ferris and Wilkes disrupted Leigh early in the second half but once the Bulls had found their feet, there was only one winner.

Leon Pryce sent Lesley Vainakolo over in the 44th minute and when Leigh turned possession over cheaply, Harris walked in for a second.

Things went from bad to worse when prop Rob Parker showed the finishing power of a back by racing under the posts from 40 metres to make it 26-0.

Leigh did have the satisfaction of scoring one of the best tries of he night when Govin and Duffy created an opening for Jones. Leigh moved the ball quickly and Ian Knott finished with a try goaled by Phil Jones.

Leigh were quickly put in their place as Bradford ripped them apart in the final 10 minutes, scoring four more tries through Karl Pryce, Leon Pryce, Deacon and Jamie Langley with Deacon taking his goals tally to five.
