ROSSENDALE slipped to their sixth defeat in eight league games as leaders Colwyn Bay stormed to victory.

The North Wales outfit, a point clear of Curzon Ashton at the top of Unibond First Division North, opened the scoring on 30 minutes through David Challinor before Joshua Macauley scored either side of half time to put Colwyn Bay well and truly in charge.

Dale, just one place off the bottom of the table with four points, conceded a fourth goal through Robert Hopley on the hour before Chris Lawton fired home a late consolation with just two minutes remaining.
