Three Lancashire soldiers are believed to be among 300 bodies found in a First World War mass grave in Northern France.
Excavation has started on the site where the dead were buried by German forces after heavy losses in the 1916 Battle of Fromelles.
The men are believed to be from the south Lancashire area.
