Activity box Sunday 5th April Try out the museum's new activity box, specially created for pre-school children.

Available for use at the museum between 1.30 and 3.30pm today.

Suitability: 3-4 year olds.

Easter Crafts Tuesday 7th April 10am - 12pm & 1.30 - 3.30pm Suitable for families with children aged 4-10 years. Price £2.00 per child (adults free).

N.B. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Places limited. Booking essential.

Tudor Portraits Wednesday 8th April 1.30 – 3.30pm Examine the portraits of Queen Elizabeth I in the textile exhibition and meet a Tudor lady. Learn about Tudor costume and paint the lady’s portrait using the materials provided.

All ages welcome.* Non artists very welcome.

Let Them Eat Cake!

Wednesday 15th April 1.15 – 2.15pm & 2.30 – 3.30pm Be the guest of the lady of the house as she prepares to take afternoon tea. Learn about the tea things in her drawing room, and be instructed in the etiquette of tea-time in a late Victorian mill owner's household. Learn how to write your own visiting card, and fold serviettes.
