A POPPY Appeal organiser is needed by the Darwen branch of the Royal British Legion.
The branch, which almost closed last year because of a lack of members, has managed to fill all committee positions apart from this.
President Bryan Thompson said: “It just takes about five weeks around Poppy Day in November, hours to suit.
“It’s not rocket science and there’s plenty of help available, especially now we have got the Rotary Club behind us.
“In 2007 we raised £12,000, and last year we raised £10,000, and we really want to keep it up.”
