THE Women’s Centre at Darwen Town Hall is looking to offer more services to people in the community.
Opened five-years-ago, the centre aims to help women to reach their potential by offering health, well-being and practical educational support including computer skills and help writing a CV.
It is open every Tuesday and workers are now looking to run courses in volunteer counselling for ten weeks after Easter.
The Women’s Centre exists to provide services to women who may require information on health, well-being, individual support, counselling, employment support and legal advice.
Women can also learn and develop personal effectiveness, self help skills and techniques through attending a programme of structured but informal training.
Whatever their needs, women can drop-in or telephone during our opening times to speak to a member of our team.
