Drivers can expect long delays on a busy Blackburn road next week due to roadworks.
Blackburn with Darwen Council Roads team are warning drivers that Montague Street close to Oakenhurst Road will be dug up to repair a gas leak.
Works will start from 9.30am on Monday, April 29 and will continue until Friday, with a two-way temporary traffic lights in place.
A Blackburn with Darwen Council spokesperson said: "This is a heavily used crossing being in close proximity to Blackburn College, and pedestrians can still cross as normal, but this will be in-between the temporary lights."
The section is close to the Aldi Store and motorists heading to and from King Street will be affected.
