A CAR rental and leasing company in Bradford must pay £1,000 for failing a police request.
Sweet Buzz Limited, based in Alliance House, York Street, Crossley Hall was found guilty of failing to provide police with the identity of a driver who was alleged to have committed an offence last year, according to court records.
The case was heard at Lavender Hill Magistrates' Court last Tuesday.
It related to a request made at Marlowe House, in Sidcup by, or on behalf of, the Chief Officer of Police for Metropolis, on October 27, 2023.
The request was for information from Sweet Buzz relating to the identification of the driver of a white Mercedes C Class Saloon, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
A representative for Sweet Buzz did not attend court.
The company was ordered by the court to pay £1,024 in total for the offence, including a £660 fine.
