A CCTV image has been released as police investigate reports of a 'hit and run' in Burnley.
Police are appealing for witnesses after being called about an incident, on Briercliffe Road, at around 3.25 pm today (March 21).
It was reported that a teenage girl, close to the pedestrian crossing at the former Duke of York pub, was hit by a motorbike which then failed to stop.
Police are appealing for information about a young, white man who was riding a red/orange motorbike.
A police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses following [reports of a] fail to stop road traffic collision on Briercliffe Road at approximately 3.25 pm on March 21.
“A young white male riding a red/orange off-road motorbike has [reportedly] struck a teenage girl close to the pedestrian crossing at the former Duke of York pub and failed to stop.
“Any information please call 101 quoting log no. LC-20240321-0869.”
