Netflix film crews have been spotted at a closed pub In Burnley as filming for Bank of Dave: The Sequel officially gets underway.

Pictures have emerged of film crews at The Talbot pub, on Church Street, which has been closed for several years.

The band appeared in the first film, during a scene where Dave holds a charity fundraiser for the bank.

In a statement Def Leppard, formed in 1976, said: “Like we always tell you there will be a next time!

“Bank of Dave: The sequel is now in production in the UK. We had so much fun the first time around and cannot wait to be back on set rockin' with this amazing cast and crew.”

Dave said he was criticised by some members of the public, for featuring a pub in Leeds in the first film, instead of one in Burnley.

He said:  “Def Leppard, my friends, are going to be performing in a pub I used to drink in – The Talbot.”

Bank of Dave: The Sequel is set to stream on Netflix in 2025.

It is based on the true (ish) story of Dave’s life. Two years after founding Britain’s very first community bank, Dave Fishwick (Rory Kinnear) takes on an even more dangerous and formidable opponent than the big banks – payday loan companies.

Dave recruits Jessica (Chrissy Metz), an American investigative reporter, and Oliver (Amit Shah), a local Citizen’s Advice counsellor, to his cause.

Together they embark on a journey that will eventually take them to the United States and help bring down an entire industry of predatory corporations.

Netflix has also released some details about the cast list Jo Hartley (This is England), Pearce Quigley (The Gentlemen, TV show), Dan Fogler (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) and Rob Delaney (Deadpool), set to appear.

Dave has also confirmed that he will play a role in the movie, more details of which will be revealed at a later date.
