A primary school is fully closed to all pupils today due to a burst water pipe.
Primet Primary School, in Tatton Street, Colne, has said there is a full school closure in place today.
The reason for the closure is that the school building has no water, due to a burst pipe on the main road outside the school.
United Utilities has said there is an ongoing issue in Burnley Road, close the school, identified as a leak.
Its website says: "Our team have been out and identified a leak on the water main.
"We’re in the process of planning the works and will have a team of engineers on site as soon as possible.
"We’re sorry for the inconvenience and will be out to get this repaired soon."
Once the works have been planned, workers will need to dig up the road to assess then fix the damage to restore water supply.
