A new site manager has been appointed to oversee and take care of 29 industrial units at Pendle’s new £34 million historic mill development.
Michael Webster, who has worked for storage facility firm, Store First, for 10 years, helps to manage the industrial workshops and rental units which are available for businesses to utilise at Brierfield’s Northlight development.
Recently, as part of the final phases of the multi-million-pound redevelopment of Northlight, several businesses and new tenants moved in to Northlight Industries and Store First units.
Consisting of 29 spacious workshops, with sizes from 650 – 2,000 sqft, the Northlight Industries facility is now being occupied by diverse businesses, from people who hand-craft items such as feature lighting, to top architects such as Campbell Driver.
The facility is also state of the art, with extra wide corridors, and keyless entry both externally and to the unit, meaning multiple people can enter easily if required – with everything tracked on a specialised app.
Mr Webster said: "I've worked for Store First for almost 10 years, it's fantastic.
“At our new site facility at Brierfield, we've got state of the art security.
“We've got a no key smart storage entry, basically what it says on the tin - there's no need for any keys to access the facility.
"It's all installed through smart application on your mobile phone or a smart device.
"Northlight is a fantastic location too, situated just off M65 Junction 12, as well as close to local public transport, and very close to Brierfield train station.
“We offer more than an empty space. We have state of the art security systems, onsite shower facilities, and we have a gym on site as well which is perfect for me.”
Managing director of Store First, Toby Whittaker, added: "Michael does a great job running the Northlight Estates units and the new Store First.
“He's been a valuable part of the team since running Store First in Blackburn, and he's making a real difference to our tenants now he's here at Northlight."
