Staff at a Barnoldswick takeaway are inviting people from across the community to their annual Iftar event.
Usmaniyah takeaway will be holding the free Iftar event on Monday March 18 in Barnoldswick’s Town Square from 6pm.
Iftar is the time of day when Muslims break their fast during the holy month of Ramadan, which begins on March 10.
Manager Mohammed Noor said: “We are inviting all members of the community to join us for this first community Iftar event and experience the warmth and hospitality of Ramadan.
“Our community Iftar will feature delicious traditional food which is free of charge for the community.
“We hope to have an Imam performing the call to prayer (adhaan) and the sunset prayer (maghrib). We will also have guest speakers who will share their insights and experiences of Ramadan.”
