A man has been found dead in a car park in Downham.
Police were called to the car park on Brookside in Downham just before 7pm last night (December 11).
Officers attended the scene and found the body of a man in a car. Police say he is believed to be in his 50s.
A spokesperson for the police said: “We were called at just before 7pm yesterday to a report of a concern for welfare at a car park on Brookside in Downham
“Officers attended and sadly found the body of a man in a car.
“The death of the man, believed to be in his 50s, is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be sent to HM Coroner.”
A closure on Pendle Road was in place last night as police dealt with the incident. The road reopened a couple of hours later.
