York Railway Station and a village near Selby were among the places where crimes were committed that led to court cases at York Magistrates Court in recent months.

Two men and a woman have been jailed for offences including violence, theft and breaking a court order.

Danny Furniss, 34, of Vernon Rise, Grassmoor, near Chesterfield, was jailed for 16 weeks.

He admitted an assault committed at York Tap bar on York Railway Station on December 11.

He must also pay £150 compensation.

Emma Pearl Thompson, 39, of Royston Avenue, Doncaster, was jailed for four weeks.

She admitted stealing tools worth between £1,000 and £1,100.

She also admitted obstructing a police officer. .

Both offences were committed in North Duffield near Selby in March.

Darryl Edward Gray, 34, of Hamilton Drive, Holgate, was jailed for 12 weeks.

He admitted breaching a restraining order imposed by a court in March.

He contacted a woman the order was designed to protect in April.

He must also pay a £128 surcharge.
