A man who failed to appear at court in relation to the stabbing of a teenage boy last year is wanted by police.

Jordan McManus, 23, failed to attend Preston Crown Court on Tuesday April 6, where he was due to appear in relation to an incident on April 14 2020 in which a 17-year-old boy was stabbed.

McManus, who is from Blackpool, is around 6ft tall, of slim build with dark hair.

As well as Blackpool he has links to West Yorkshire.

A spokesperson for the police said: "He's wanted after failing to appear at Preston Crown Court last Tuesday in relation to the stabbing of a 17-year-old boy on Tuesday, April 14 2020.

"McManus is aware that he should have been at court and subsequently knows he is wanted by us.

"We are asking anyone who has seen him or knows where he is to contact us as soon as possible.

"Similarly, if McManus himself sees this appeal I would urge him to do the right thing and hand himself in at the nearest police station."
