A CHILD was assaulted close to a park before his bike was stolen.
An appeal for information has been launched following the incident, which took place close to the entrance of Witton Park, Blackburn, on April 4.
The victim was left with face injuries as a result of the attack in which his grey mountain bike (pictured) was also stolen.
A police spokesman said: “The offenders have made off on Preston Old Road towards the junction with Redlam.
“It is believed the individuals responsible may have been riding in and out of the road at, or around the time of the offence and therefore we are appealing for anyone who has seen anything, or has dashcam footage from between 18:00 hrs and 18:40 hrs on Sunday 4th April.”
