A DRIVER who refused to stop for police officers has been arrested after tested positive for cannabis and cocaine.
The driver of a blue Citroen was asked to pull over by officers in Lancashire on Saturday night, but refused to stop.
However the vehicle was pursued along the M61 and into Greater Manchester, where a stinger device was deployed and the driver was stopped in Bury.
He was later tested for drugs and was found to have traces of cannabis and cocaine in his system.
A police spokesman said: “This car failed to stop for #Team4TacOps patrols on M61 and was pursued into Manchester with assistance of GMP, Lancashire patrols successfully stung it as it left M60 and the driver was arrested. Tested positive for cannabis/cocaine and was disqualified.”
